I'm Leevon white.

I’m from Cosmo. Born and raised here. My mom was born and raised here. Most of the people in my group were born and raised in the Cosmo area.

If we get a chance to ride down there, you’ll see that not much of the community is left, but there are some. My mom, she's still a landowner. I'm still a landowner, Floyd Key out there cutting—he's still a landowner.

So, we still have about 10 to 12 family members who are still landowners in the community of Cosmo.

Leevon White and another woman are pictured wearing orange t-shirts that read "Cosmo Historical Preservation Association." Leevon White looks out at the crowd, speaking, while standing next to a sign that reads "The Gullah Geechee People."
