[Now your foraging tour, where do you normally start that at?]

I normally start right at the dock.

Because Somebody done picked all the prickly pears the other day. Started to pick some and clean them up and go ahead and just put 'em in my fridge.

I said, “no, they'll be here.”

And I look, I'm like, I be dang. So I start there.

You got the prickly pears, you got seaworts, which kind of salty tasting, but it's something to snack on. Like say you are out on the edge of the marsh and stuff like saying you're stranded, something you can snack on.

A lot of people can't deal without caffeine. So I show 'em the Youpon Holly and I tell 'em about fiber. You get a young palmetto plant that just starting to come up. If you pull it straight out the ground, the stem will be long and white. That's pure fiber.
